The processing of engineering plastics requires extensive process engineering knowledge
to achieve and maintain the highest quality standards under economic criteria.
Ferratec GmbH has over 35 years of experience in the process management of injection molding technology.
Well-known representatives from a wide range of industries rely on our services.
The design of a product must take into account the most diverse requirements.
Flawless functional performance and cost-effective production are no longer the only criteria for successful implementation.
Rather, thoughts on sustainability, lightweight construction, the realization of a smart and appealing design, haptics and safety considerations play a decisive role.
The right choice of material is the decisive criterion for reconciling the different requirements.
The large number of engineering plastics available, coupled with the possibility of influencing the material properties in a targeted manner, often make this material the ideal starting point for product manufacture. Properties that can be influenced include material conductivity, fire behavior, creep behavior, tribological properties, haptic properties, permittivity, transparency, opacity, fluorescence, etc.
The production of tool molds within state-of-the-art machining centers paired with the subsequent use of tools on a high-performance injection molding machine enables the series production of precision plastic parts within very tight tolerances.
Ferratec manufactures plastic products on over 40 injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 250 kN to 15,000 kN. Vertical and horizontal machines are used, which are equipped with handling systems or fully automatic loading systems as required.
Parts with shot weights from 0.1g to 8,000g (PS) or 7,400g (PE) are produced, whereby all common thermoplastics are processed.
The tools for the injection molding machines are manufactured in the company’s own tool shop, which enables an uncomplicated and flexible approach.
